Sixteen palatial Residence Suites housed in three or four storey villas offer master, guest and children's bedrooms with private plunge pools or rooftop penthouse and come complete with their own Mae Baan (live-in house keeper.)

Located in the beautiful Mae Rim Valley, The Regent pays tribute to Chiang Mai's artistic and cultural heritage. Clusters of Lanna-style pavilions, each a roomy 70 square metres (750 square feet) and decorated with rich Thai materials and fabrics, overlook gardens, terraced rice paddies and mountain views.
The Regent Chiang Mai Resort & Spa has 64 Pavilion Suites and 16 Residence Suites.

Food & Beverage

Sala Mae Rim
The resort's Thai restaurant features the finest in Thai cuisine including both Northern and Vegetarian specialties. Indoor and outdoor seating is available to take in the sweeping view of the Mae Rim Valley and gentle northern breezes. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus offer both Thai and Western dining choices.

Elephant Bar
A casually elegant open pavilion style lounge, serving afternoon tea, cocktails and after-dinner drinks. The perfect place to relax after an active day of sightseeing and elephant trekking. The Elephant Bar offers unrivalled views across the Mae Rim Valley towards a brilliant Thai sunset.

Pool Terrace and Bar
Pool-side dining for lunch and dinner in addition to a weekly seasonal barbecue dinner. The menu features casual light snacks and a variety of light Thai-style dishes are also available.

Pavilion Dining
For greater privacy, a romantic dinner for two or a small dinner party for friends, the Pavilion Dining concept offers the best of The Regent Chiang Mai Resort & Spa cuisine in the comfort of the guest's Pavilion Suite.

Available 24 hours a day, Pavilion Dining provides the perfect indoor or outdoor setting for a leisurely breakfast, light snack or a sumptuous dinner.

The specially selected and prepared meals can be enjoyed on the guest's private out-door "Sala" (covered verandah) or inside in the luxuriously appointed Pavilion Suite.

Picnic Baskets
The resort offers a range of freshly packed picnic baskets which are very popular with guests. Featuring both Thai and Western specialties, the picnics are the perfect accompaniment for guests to take on their daily excursions.

Sports and Fitness

For those that prefer their workouts in-doors, a fully equipped fitness and exercise studio is available for the health enthusiast. Features include strength and cardio-vascular training equipment.

Outdoor options abound at the resort. The Tennis and Health Club is managed by Peter Burwash International (PBI). Facilities include two floodlit Wimbledon. Unreal Grass tennis courts -- available on a complimentary basis. A full-time tennis professional is on staff to provide instruction.

The Regent Chiang Mai Resort & Spa also offers guests the complimentary use of two saunas, Thai herbal steam rooms and an outdoor heated whirlpool, which is adjacent to the 20 metre infinity edge swimming pool from where they can view the Mae Rim valley across picturesque rice terraces.

Mountain bikes for adults and children are also available on a complimentary basis.

In addition, the Tennis and Health Club offers guests introductory sessions in meditation and yoga and a children's club complete with board games, toys, videos and supervised activities.

The Lanna Spa

The Lanna Spa is housed in a magnificent three storey building (900 square metres or 9,000 square feet) set in lush tropical vegetation. Its seven treatment suites are elegant and exceedingly spacious, offering total privacy for individuals or couples, a variety of features include outdoor showers, private herbal steam rooms , romantic outdoor soaking tubs and tropical rain shower massage tables. All treatment suites have individual changing areas, shower and bathroom facilities. There is also a separate beauty salon within the Spa.

The Spa offers an exciting range of treatments with extensive use of Thai herbs and aromatic oils, sourced from their traditional rural origins.

Combining herbal steam with massage, body scrubs, wraps, facial treatments, and hair care, a fabulous choice of three or four hour "Spa Rituals" offers total pampering for the body, mind and spirit.

The Spa's range of aromatic oils, essential oils, soaps, candles, incense, spa robes and slippers and other accessory items are also available for purchase.
