Lao Airlines and Vietnam Airlines opened new routes linking Vientaine, Pattaya, Yangon and Ho Chi Minh.
THAI AirAsia will start a direct four-weekly service between Phuket and Bali from December 17.
Both Phuket and Bali are popular destinations among Australian travellers. The airfare is expected to start from US$50.40.
Thai Airways International and AirAsia will add more flights to India. AirAsia is scheduled to launch daily flight for Bangkok-Kolkata and four weekly flights for Bangkok-New Delhi new on December 1. Tickets are available for booking now. Additionally, Thai Airways International (THAI) will add more flights between Bangkok and Kolkata and Mumbai
Bangkok Airways will launch new flights between Phuket, Samui and Trat.
The new flights will link three popular beach destinations in Thailand in the southern and eastern coast. The flights will help make it easier for holidaymakers to travel from Phuket to the resort island of Koh Chang.
AIR Bagan will start a twice-weekly flight between Yangon and Phuket in December, using a 100-seat Fokker aircraft.
The Airport Rail Link, which connects Bangkok’s inner city and Suvarnabhumi Airport, started its commercial operations last week.
The rail link helps to reduce travel time between Bangkok and the airport. It takes 30 minutes from Phaya Thai station to the airport if you use the City Line and only 15 Minutes by the Express Line.
MYANMAR will stop visa-on-arrival (VOA) facilities for foreign visitors at Yangon and Mandalay International Airports from September 1, 2010.
