Getting to Cambodia

Getting-to-CambodiaCambodia can be reached by flights from various countries in Asia. The country has two international airports in the capital of Phnom Penh and the world heritage city of Siem Reap where the famed Angkor Wat is located. At the same time, travellers can opt for an overland trip if they come from its neighbouring countries such as Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. The following countries offer access to the country through border checkpoints.

From Thailand

  1. Aranyaprathet, Thailand/Poipet, Cambodia (direct access to Siem Reap). Visa on arrival is available.
  2. Hat Lek, Thailand/Koh Kong, Cambodia (Cham Yeam Checkpoint) (direct access to Sihanoukville). Visa on arrival is available.

From Vietnam

  1. Bavet Checkpoint: Moc Bai, Vietnam/Bavet, Cambodia (from Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh)
  2. Ving Xuong, Vietnam/Kaam Samnor, Cambodia (”The Chau Doc Crossing”) (from Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh)

From Laos

1. Voeung Kam, Laos/Dom Kralor, Cambodia (from Pakse in Laos to Phnom Penh)
