Mui Ne
Mui Ne is a small beach town about 22 kilometres east of Phan Thiet. The town has a reputation of long sandy palm-tree flanked beaches that stretch for miles along the South China Sea.
It boosts numerous private beaches that are ideal for those who want to sunbath or go swimming. Among them are Ong Dia Beach, Truoc Beach and Sau Beach. Further north of Mui Ne is Doi Duong, a beautiful beach that runs 10 kilometres long. It has a gentle sloping sand dune and transparent blue waters.
The most convenient way to get to Mui Ne is by car from Ho Chi Minh – the road is in good condition with a variety of resorts and restaurants scattering among fishing villages along the way. Despite its increasing popularity and booming resorts, most of the beaches in Mui Ne are considered pristine and exotic.
Mui Ne Sand Dunes
Besides fine sand beaches, Mui Ne has an imposing landscape of sand dunes that impress all visitors. Many of them have been an inspiration of artistic photographs and painting shown in postcards and travel brochures that promote Vietnam tourism. Most of the sand dunes can be found snaking along Mui Ne’s curvy beaches next to its beachfront road. Each of them is unique and often transformed in different shapes due to the wind.
